Morris is located on Provincial Trunk Highway 75, 30 minutes south of Winnipeg in the centre of the Red River Valley.  Morris is Centerport’s southern link connecting it to the US.  We are a unique transportation hub with two highways and two railways strategically connecting us to the international trade routes.


Red River Basin Fundraising Dinner

The Red River Basin Commission South Chapter will be hosting its first ever Fundraising & Networking BBQ Dinner!  The theme is celebrating our agricultural richness and the important connection between agriculture and water management.

The Morris Area Foundation Inc. partners with donors to build permanent endowment funding from which projects of the entire Town and Rural Municipality of Morris are supported.

Nomination Period Closed for 2014

There will be no election for Town Council in Morris. Gavin van der Lind will serve another term as Mayor after being acclaimed. Incumbent Councillors Bruce Third, Trevor Thiessen, Mike Hinchey, Bill Ginter, and Ruth Murray have also been elected by acclamation. New to the council table is Tim Lewis.


A multi-purpose facility comprised of the Convention Centre, Morris Curling Club, the Morris Arena, and the Morris Wellness Centre.


The Morris Fire station is located at 139 Railroad Ave. West in Morris and houses both the Fire Dept. and Emergency Medical Services.
