No Motorized Vehicles on Ring Dyke

It is important to remind everyone that Manitoba Infrastructure prohibits the use of motorized vehicles on ring dykes in Southern Manitoba.  Compliance with this is especially important during the extreme dryness we have had, where ATVs and other recreational vehicles may inadvertently cause a fire to start.  Considering the current water shortage, a fire started on the dyke could have serious consequences for our residents.

The Town has asked the Morris detachment of the RCMP to increase enforcement on individuals who continue to operate vehicles on the dyke during this critical time.  However, we hope that vehicle operators recognize the seriousness of the conditions, and conduct themselves accordingly.
