Update – Pembina Valley Water Co-op

Pembina Valley Water Co-Op Update:
Daily Update:
June 14, 2021
Stable Weekend Water Usage. Request Continued Use of Alternate Water Sources due to Warm Temperatures

This weekend we returned to average water usage following the rain last week. Some municipalities had significant reductions from peak usage. This morning, water is going out at near maximum availability at the Letellier and Stephenfield water treatment plants.

Due to the forecasted temperatures for the week, we will be monitoring usage closely and anticipate it could be close to peak availability.

We continue to make the alternate water sources available throughout the week. Please contact your water supplier or municipality for specific requirements regarding water usage.

The following water sources continue to be available:

Paterson Pit: PH 7.8, Conductivity 990 µS/cm, Hardness 420 ppm
Lavallee Pit: PH 7.8, Conductivity 4700 µS/cm, Hardness 1460 ppm
West of St. Jean on Dead Horse: PH 7.8, Conductivity 1375 µS/cm, Hardness 460 ppm
Trans Canada: PH 8.2, Conductivity 1100 µS/cm, Hardness 460 ppm
Thanks to everyone for practicing water conservation and using alternate sources of water. It has made a noticeable difference.
